- 30 November 2025
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Join us for a Day of Mindfulness (DOM) mini retreat to experience the essence of mindfulness practices in the tradition of Plum Village and Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh (Thay). This is an opportunity to pause, come back to ourselves, and take care of our fear, anxiety or anger. Enjoy sitting meditation and mindfully eating together as a community, and listen deeply to ourselves and to each other, to foster compassion and understanding.

Protecting and Taking Care of Each Other
- If you are not feeling well, please consider staying at home to rest instead.
To Bring
- Your own LUNCH — please bring a vegan meal, and join us in practicing compassionate eating.
- Your own CUTLERY — we are also practicing to avoid the use of disposable food containers/cutlery.
- A WATER BOTTLE for water and/or CUP WITH LID for making hot tea.
- A SHAWL or warm clothes, if you get cold easily (we do try our best to moderate the aircon temperature).
Arrival
- It would be much appreciated if you could kindly be present by 9.45am, so that the programme can start on time, the sitting meditation won’t get interrupted, and you can have ample time to gently slow down and relax into the practice.
Other Notes
- This event is open to all ages, including CHILDREN. However, there is no separate programme for them and parents/guardians are advised to mindfully move children away when they are irritable/noisy so that a conducive environment is maintained, especially for sitting meditation and total relaxation.
- As our practice centre is located in an old mid-20th century building, access is BY STAIRS ONLY. Please see the venue information for more details.
Contribution
- Our Day of Mindfulness is organised wholly on a volunteer basis and collectively funded by participants including the organising team.
- Your donation goes towards the expenses of operating our practice centre (main cost is rent of $5,500/month, plus utilities and maintenance).
- NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL AND ANY CONTRIBUTION IS APPRECIATED. You can donate via cash at the venue, or PayNow/bank transfer instructions to be shared during the event.
Cancellation
- If you cannot come to this session, please inform us as soon as possible, so that space can be given to others. Thank you.
